Individuals, Couples, Families and Groups
I am a licensed Marriage and Family therapist with a passion for helping people find their path. By drawing on my life experiences and on knowledge gained from being certified in Narrative Therapy, The Daring Way, in Life Coaching, and trained in level 1 Brainspotting, my hope is to hold space for you to create the life and relationships you want. I consult with individuals of all ages, couples, families and groups in accessing resources and ideas tat may not be fully considered in the hope that they might provide new possibilities and ways to address the concerns that bring people to therapy.
As a certified Narrative Therapist, I use Narrative ideas and approaches as the foundation of my work. These are a growing set of ethically based and innovative therapy ideas that recognize people use narrative, (or “story”) to make meaning of their lives and identity and as such can re-author them. People re-author life according to intentions, purpose, values, beliefs, hopes, dreams, visions and commitments to ways of living.
I am also a Certified Facilitator of The Daring Way™. This is a highly experiential methodology based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown. During the process we explore topics such as vulnerability, courage, shame, and worthiness. We examine the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that are holding us back and we identify the new choices and practices that will move us toward more authentic and wholehearted living. The primary focus is on developing shame resilience skills and developing daily practices that transform the way we live, love, parent, and lead.
